Wooded Wonderland
In the late 1950s, John Eisbach’s parents acquired two farms to pursue their diverse horticultural interests. The land they purchased was not suitable for traditional crop production; however, it contained vast areas of virgin timber and untouched prairie. Through the years, they cleared 50 acres, replanted various species of pine, and added grapes, nut trees and a blueberry patch to the property. Little did they know that their actions would lay the groundwork for the current generation’s business and lifestyle.
John, his wife Ginger, their children and grandchildren live in harmony with the land. John harvests wood from the self-sustaining tree farm, mills it in his on-site sawmill, and crafts quality one-of-a-kind furniture, hardwood paneling, flooring and trim.
Their Country Store offers products produced from raw materials taken from their forests and gardens including organic blueberries, potatoes, squash and honey.
