Steeped in history, this rye whiskey dates back to the prohibition era when a group of residents from this tiny town of 350 came together to create an American classic. It became the favorite of Al Capone and soon it was at the center of his bootlegging operation. Available legally for the first time, this infamous small batch whiskey is aged in charred new oak barrels and produced from the original Prohibition Era recipe.

The balance of fruit and alcohol in a fruit brandy reflects both the skill of the distiller and the quality of the fruit. Black Star Farms sources Bartlett pears from a neighboring orchard and allows them to ripen from within at the distillery. The ripe fruit is pressed and the pulp fermented prior to distillation. The result is a clear spirit delivering an explosion of succulent pear aroma and taste.
