Galena Canning Company
A third generation canner, Chef Ivo Puidak, remembers his mother’s rule, “You have to use only the best and freshest! And also a pinch of Estonian magic.”
The son of immigrants from the small country of Estonia, Ivo has carried his mother’s wisdom with him all his life. Each of his 200 products is canned by hand in small batches using the freshest ingredients. He takes pride in creating fresh, high quality salsas, pasta sauces, barbecue sauces, relishes, pickles, hot sauces, mustard, jams/jellies, fruit butters, toppings, and flavored oils and vinegars.
Chef Ivo oversees the entire Galena Canning Company operation from canning to packaging and even distribution. He carefully chooses each small specialty grocery store and gourmet shop to offer his products and then he works closely with them. He was featured on the Food Network’s Food Finds and his products are offered in 20 states, Canada, Japan, the Middle East, Germany and Sweden.
