Cynthia's Extra Batch, Inc.
As a small child, Cynthia Sedan remembers picking cherries from her Grandma Bertha’s trees, bringing them in the kitchen, and transforming the fruit into delicious pies.
Years later, Cynthia fell in love with a man whose mother, Jeannette, was fabulous in the kitchen. Her mother-in-law carefully passed on technique and knowledge, trusting Cynthia with family recipes passed down from generation to generation.
Through the years, leaving her oven on to “make an extra batch” was routine. As a former piano teacher Cynthia always made extras to give to the children and adults she taught. Other times the baked goods went to a friend, the nursing home or the food pantry.
Cynthia’s signature product is a Whiskey Butter Cookie, available in original or dipped in rich white, milk or dark chocolate. Cynthia’s Extra Batch’s product line includes apple and cheese strudel and a line of fruited biscotti loaded with Michigan blueberries, Door County cherries, California almonds and rich 70% cocoa chocolate chips.
